Jun 07, 2018 Bandai Playdia Emulator Download 4,5/5 6683 votes I've just added titles for an extremely rare system to our ROMs, ISOs and Games Section. The Bandai Playdia was released only in Japan in 1994.

The Playdia currently has no emulator available, so the only way to play these games is to buy the console. It looks like they’re around $150 on eBay, and this particular game will set you back a further $50, so I don’t recommend it. I based my description on a scan of the manual and a video playthrough, both provided by SailorVGame.org.

An emulator is a program which serves to replicate the functions of another platform or system so as to allow applications and games to be run in environments they were not programmed for. While emulators themselves are not games in a strict sense, they provide users with the ability to play games and therefore have been included in this article.

Warning: Emulators provide users with the ability to run programs called 'ROMS', which are copies of games. While owning an emulator itself is not illegal, downloading or sharing (and in some cases, creating) copyrighted ROMs without the copyright holder's permission is ILLEGAL. Using an emulator to run ROMs that you do not own the legal rights to is ILLEGAL. Use at your own risk and be sure to read the Terms of Service for the emulator. Arch Linux etc. is not responsible if you get in trouble.

The Playdia(プレイディアPureidia?) (developed under the codename 'BA-X'[2]) is a home video game console released exclusively in Japan in 1994[3] at the initial price of ¥24,800.[4] It was intended for a young audience and, like many consoles of the era (e.g. the LaserActive and the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer), was marketed more as a multimedia home entertainment system than as a dedicated gaming console,[5] with anime quiz software and edutainment making up most of the game library. The Playdia uses a single infrared joypad with simple controls. Bandai, the Playdia's manufacturer, was the only software publisher to support this console.
