Dsp Software

Linrad - Multiplatoform freeware DSP software. Linrad has its origin in software that was developed for 144 MHz EME CW but it is quite general and should be seen more like a kit for designing a receiver that a receiver for some particular usage. It can be used as a CW. Ashly came to understand long ago, that while great sound is important, what makes a great audio product is a positive user experience. It was upon that premise that Ashly developed its successful DSP software that not only provides powerful tools, but was also intuitive and easy to use.

  • We are happy that the freeDSP-aurora with 8 inputs and 8 outputs, USB Audio Class 2 and wireless control via Wifi and Bluetooth was successful on KICKSTARTER.

  • The freeDSP is an open-source digital signal processor family for the do-it-yourself community. The applications range from active loudspeaker concepts (digital crossovers, bass enhancement, ...) and room equalization over advanced musical effect processors to car audio signal processing.

  • No advanced coding skills are necessary. The freeDSP works with a graphical development environment. The programming model is function-block based. Just drag-and-drop some processing blocks and virtual cables - and you are ready to go! The Windows based software can be downloaded from Analog Devices free of charge.

  • All freeDSP boards are published under a creative commons license (CC-BY-SA). It allows the unrestricted use and modification of the module. We would be happy if you join the team and improve or extend the freeDSP family. We really like the open hardware idea. :-)

The DM Smart DSP software is used to setup our DSP processors and amplifiers. When working on a project you can save your settings in two ways, saving to memory presets and saving the settings configuration file directly to your computer.

Saving to a memory preset saves your settings to the processors memory. Hover your cursor over the number of the preset and then press and hold until you see the message “Are you sure you wish to overwrite this memory location”, select Yes to save.

To save your settings configuration file to your computer locate the Site File Manager drop down menu at the top of the software window > select SAVE AS > either Windows File Explorer or Apple Finder will open and you can select a location on your computer where you want to store the file (see screen shots below). Follow the prompts to save the file. While working on the same project, when you return to the Site File Manager menu you will now also see a SAVE option that will allow you to save incremental changes to the same project file without having to rename the file every time you save.
