I recently bought a Denon RC-969, which was supposed to work with the 3805, but when AMP is selected, nothing is displayed for SOURCE and SURROUND, so I can't use it effectively. I'm in contact with the eBay seller to try and sort that out, and will probably return it.
What I'd like to know is what Denon RCs work fully with the 3805, i.e. perform all functions?
I found someone suggesting the RC-995 might be suitable.
Anyone have any advice please?
Looking on eBay, the specific remote for this is not available for less than £30-odd quid, and buying one of those isn't going to maximise the return on my amp. Others however are available for less and I wasn wondering how to find out if any of them would work for me.

Hi, I have been using an AVR-3805 for a couple weeks and initially had programmed its remote (RC-969) to operate my Sony 34HS420 TV, my Scientific Atlanta cable box and the Pioneer DV-588A DVD player. I don't know what happened but all the settings were reset. I looked at the manual. Re: denon remote code If your TV and the Denon both support HDMI control (CEC), there is a fair chance you can enable that on both and let the TV control the receiver power/volume. I have mine set that way simply because I don't have a very direct line of sight to the receiver from where I use the remote. Dec 14, 2004 I have a DEnon 3805 and want to program the supplied remote to operate my DVD, TV, Cable box. Without using the learning capability, are there codes available to program the remote? There are none supplied in the owenrs manual? Any help is appreciated.
