* As with practically all of EA's marquee sports franchises, yearly iterations are but improvements upon the last efforts, and not necessarily radical alterations to or departures from proven formulas. And, as with practically all of EA's other marquee sports franchises, this is usually a damn good thing. F1 2001 was an exercise in immense satisfaction; I can only imagine 2002 will be the same, but better.

Since Codemasters took over the Formula One licence back in 2009, games for the world's fastest sport have got better and better with time. F1 2012 beautifully replicates the chaotic and competitive nature of Grand Prix racing. This Formula One Racing Championship demo takes you back to the 2012 season which was a year that saw the introduction of the American Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas in Texas and the return of the Bahrain Grand Prix. This was also the 1st season to include 20 races.
F1 2012 features split screen and co-operative game modes. Multiplayer online modes allow for 16 players and 8 AI controlled cars to race one another. If you're new to F1 sims, check out the 'Young Driver's Test' that simulates the ways that drivers compete to get to motor racing's most prestigious championship.
With six former Drivers' World Champions to choose from - Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Räikkönen, and Michael Schumacher - as well as a host of other drivers, the 2012 season was the first since 1970 to include so many current or former World Champions.
